You eat so well Monday to Friday, and then weekend comes and hey, you should have a treat, or two, or three, because you deserve it right?? WRONG!!!
You deserve a hell of a lot more than that.
Reminds me of when I saw a personal trainer myself over a year ago, and he put me on his diet plan. It consisted of eating well, strict, all week, and then on Saturdays you could have a cheat meal.
Saturday night came and I ate some chocolate, maybe two, and I probably had some ice cream too. He looked at my food diary and said is that it???? Go crazy he told me, eat what ever you want.
It’s such a strange concept. I didn’t feel like it come Saturday night but I almost felt obliged to go eat until I was stuffed. If you eat perfect all week, your mind plays a trick telling you that you are deprived. No one likes feeling deprived.
I absolutely hate the word cheat meal. Changing it to treat meal is just stupid too. Food is food. Nothing is bad and nothing is good. It is food. It all has a purpose.
Are you a dog, if you are well behaved and obedient you will get treat? It is demoralising. Unless you’re an athlete or something along those lines, why would you live with such strict food rules?
If you’ve been on a food binge, you know the feeling the day after. You feel depressed, sad, guilty, heavy, stuffed, bloated, dehydrated, tired, and well so much more.
You deserve so much more than that crapiness!!!!
When you wake up Monday I want you to feel grateful and full of vitality. I want you to be proud of yourself. Your focus for the day shouldn’t be ‘eating light’ or skipping breakfast because you over done it the day before.
Don’t let food control you. You’re way more deserving than that.
How do you prevent the all you can eat weekend binge fest?
Don’t be so hard on yourself during the week. Live (no that isn’t permission to eat a little extra all the time). You know what healthy food is. Be consistent with it. Don’t aim for perfect. Be more relaxed with your food choices.
If things don’t go to plan, so what.
